ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a full-time visual arts practitioner whose primary creative medium is oil on canvas. While I paint other styles, I like subject matter that focuses on painting people in settings where the viewer can imagine a story. I embrace the challenge of capturing the personality of my subjects, and I paint until I know I have a forever connection to that work. I strive to draw the viewer’s attention to each element of connection, meaning that if someone walked past my painting, they would stop, look, and remember it.
